Just in time for preview at LDRS and hopefully in time to see some contest air at NARAM! The 1:282 scale Saturn 1B by FlisKits is sure to provide a new solution to the problem of finding a winning design for Peanut Scale competition! Also very cool as regular staple to your growing model rocket fleet. Providing scale accuracy, incredible amounts of detail and challenges for the most sophisticated builder, the 1:282 Saturn 1B is now available for pre-order purchases (NOTE: The FlisKits OverDue promotion does NOT apply to pre-orders).

Our expectations are to be able to begin shipment of this new and exciting kit by Wednesday, July 8th

FlisKits will be announcing THREE new kits at NARCON later this month! All 3 will be officially announced at NARCON in Wethersfield, CT on the weekend of March 20th. But wait! All 3 new kits will also be available on our web site BEFORE we head out to NARCON! You can actually purchase your new kits before the NARCON attendees can! The Nantucket Sound

Bringing odd-rocs to life, the FlisKits Nantucket Sound is the personification of the "Odd-Roc" in every sense of the word! Announced as the commemorative kit of the 2009 National Convention (NARCON), the Nantucket Sound is a real flying representation of the rocket that appears in the NARCON 2009 logo! Featuring 24mm power, parachute recovery and a look all her own, the Nantucket Sound is sure to raise a few eyebrows at your next launch.

The Dead Ringer

More fun with Micro to the MAXX^TM rocketry at FlisKits!. The Dead Ringer is a wonderful adaptation from the popular Borealis model rocket that we introduced last year. Featuring laser cut fins and ultra simple assembly, the Dead Ringer looks as cool in the air as it does on your desk!

Retailing for $8.95, the Dead Ringer is a Skill Level 2 kit and will be available for purchase on our site beginning March 20th.

The Tiddlywink

Answering the call of our most loyal customers, the Tiddlywink is in response to the NAR hosting a 1/8A HD event at NARAM this coming summer.

The Tiddlywink joins her cousin, the Nanite as a serious entry into the world of micro competition. Featuring a simplified design and quick prep, the Tiddlywink is a reliable and easy to assembly solution to the very complex problem of auto-rotation recovery in micro models.

Offering challenges to both those new to micro rocketry and helicopters, the Tiddlywink will also satisfy the experienced competitor with an elegant bird that performs as well as she looks.

The pictures at right show the Tiddlywink in boost mode (far right) and deployed for recovery. One feature of this design, as can be seen from the photo's, is having the fins attached to the tips of the helicopter blades. This serves two purposes. 1) added surface area to the blade tips to increase lift and, 2) Removing the fins from the lower hub during recovery so you don't have the fin drag during rotation. Micro to the MAXX^TM gets a little bit better, one kit at a time!

Cut-Away Model Rocket Motor!

Highlighted during the Vendor Forum at NARAM this past year, the Cut-Away Model Rocket Motor kit is NOW AVAIALBLE!

Featuring simple assembly, laser cut parts and a whole host of related downloads, this educational tool is sure to make your rocketry classes more exciting than ever before!

Some ideas that have come in regarding this fun and exciting tool include buying two and hinge them together so that, when folded up, it looks like a complete motor before opening it up to show the internal structure. Another idea is to have two with one configured as a Booster Motor to better explain mult-stage operation.

The possibilities are endless! Presented as a tool for both the experienced rocketeer as well as the novice teacher or youth group leader, the Cut-Away Model Rocket Motor also makes a great desk display piece for the office or den. A sure fire way to get a conversation about rocketry started!
