Hi everybody! My name is Jason Toft, and I am sixteen years old. I have been into model rocketry for eleven years, since I was five. I started out building the simpler kits, my first was the old Red and White Estes Alpha 3. My parents have enjoyed what has happened since I earned that rocket in a youth group, Royal Rangers. I earned it by attending regularly, giving offering, and good behavior. Everything has gone downhill from there. I recently moved into the awesome worlds of scratch building and mid-power rocketry (E, F, and G motors).

I heard of Fliskits almost right after I joined The Rocketry Forum (TRF) in late November 2002. I saw this strange little rocket called "Deuce's Wild!" and from there I was hooked. It took me a while, but in January, I made my first Fliskits purchase. I built the Deuce, painted it, and after one "flight" in which I had a misfire of one motor, I finally got to see the coolest rocket EVER fly! Everything went downhill from there.

The idea for Tour De Deuce came to me in March. I had been reading about the Alpha 40 project a little bit, while holding my Deuce's Wild!. Something clicked in my brain, something like, "National project...Deuce's Wild...cool dual smoke trails...hmmm!" So, I sent an e-mail to Jim Flis, asking him if he had ever heard of the Alpha 40 project. I asked him if he would be willing to provide support. Now, as you can see, he has, and in tremendous amounts! A couple of weeks after I sent the e-mail, I posted a thread on The Rocketry Forum, realizing that to fly in all fifty states, you would need fifty fliers. The thread EXPLODED into existence, and within a week, I had 20 fliers signed up.
