Lawn Dart
By: Brian

Brian, inspired by a rocket of a similar name flown at a CMASS launch, decided to set himself to designing a more realistic looking "Lawn Dart".

Brian provided the following information with his entry:

Hello, I wasn’t sure what you need form me exactly but enclosed if a simple design and a picture of the completed rocket. Inspired by the name of a rocket flown at CMASS I decided to build a realistic looking lawn dart. The tube adapter on my design is flow-through not a solid balsa. Because of this there would be a lot more stress during ejection so I designed through-body-tube fins (for stability only 3, 4 or 5 fin designs are recommended) I opted for a 4 fin design. Another option would be to use a solid balsa 50 to 55 adapter creating an upper payload bay.

If I’m missing anything you need, please let me know. I’ll also be sending you some additional designs (mostly fun with fins)

The links below will provide you with instructions and patterns for this design.  These links will open a new window.
