RV-A10 1;19 Scale
By: Frederick J. Talasco
Frederick's entry is a simple but elegant 1:19
scale reproduction of the Hermes RV-A10 solid fueled rocket.
The note accomanying this entry (edited):
Well, now that I have flight tested this model, it is time to enter your DOM contest.
This is a scale model of the Hermes RV-A10. It is featured in Peter Alway's Rockets of the
The model has been flight tested and is very stable, even with the little stubby fins.
Weather permitting, I will try a D21-7 this weekend at the ASTRE launch.
I am always looking to promote scale model rockets. I decided on this design as it is a
good size: not too small, and not too large. It is also an attractively colored model.
This is a straight forward design, and other than the custom cone is a very easy build.
I drew the entry using Coreldraw, and saved as PDF. The lettering skewed a bit when
converting, but it still looks OK. There is a full sized fin pattern , a full sized, fully
dimensioned nosecone drawing.
Below are two PDF pages with drawings and instructions, two photos, and the rocsim file
for this rocket.

documentation for this design. These links will open a new window.
