Our first kit EVER.  For the person who purchased (or currently owns) the Production #1 Flea, that wasn't just the first Flea, it was the FIRST KIT we ever produced as FlisKits.  We were quite proud of ourselves :)

Our first event, a CMASS launch!  It was nice to experience our first professional set up among friends..  THIS is our very first field sale, a Deuce's Wild!

Our modest booth set up.  That rack served us well until our product line started to grow (or if there was any wind... LOL)  We still have it too!

And this is Einstein, we got him shortly after starting FlisKits.  He's our mascot.

An early production Richter Recker.  I often built another kit, from a production kit, to test the instructions and kit contents.

One of the first Deuce's Wild launches ever! (before FlisKits, this was simply known as the Deuce)

The original (from Pearl River) D-Nelson Tomahawk, from which the kit was derived.

Man, this goes back to when I thought doing 12 different kits was TOUGH!  HA!  I could do 12 kits in my sleep now!  LOL

Tony quickly showed me just how nicely he can build models!

Even at the very beginning of it all, I was thinking forward.  Here we see proto's of the Deuce's Wild in 24mm, 18mm, 13mm, and Micromaxx (what became the Diminutive Deuce)

Another Deuce's Wild!  Get used to it.  You're going to see a lot of'em :)

My first indoor show, a craft fair.  We did well, but it was clear that this really wasn't our type of venue.   On the plus side, we were a welcome respite for all the dad's and husbands that were dragged to the craft fair! LOL

Another off the production line before the end of the year!

Kathy doing final inspection of a Deuce's Wild! kit before sending it off (far end of the bench) for sealing.  This is the early FlisKits production line.  Actually, it hasn't changed much, just got more crowded... LOL

Kitting 50 at a time, of each kit, we're almost done with the Deuce's Wild kits.

Meanwhile, at a friends barn, I am constructing the Independence, a 2-man boat made entirely of corrugated cardboard, commemorating the start of FlisKits and set to run in the annual Merrimack Cardboard Boat Race.  She took first place for best looking.  She floated very well (ran her for 2 years, 4 races), but was never very fast :)
Our first calendar year was a short one, only 3 months.  But we learned a lot and by the end of the year a sizable area of the rocketry community knew we had arrived!
