Scout Pack 138
For several years
now, I have been traveling up to Deerfield Pack 138 to deliver
a short talk on model rocketry, some show-n-tell and to
deliver their rocket order. Every year, when they
contact me with their launch schedule, I had already had
something else booked, and couldn't make it.
Every year, that
is, until 2013 :) Yep, I actually had a day that I was
free that matched up with their launch! Very cool!
I had just returned from a CMASS launch and had to get ready
for the Scout launch. Not really much to do, as most of
my needed materials were already in the car. Just fix up
a few other rockets that I knew the Scouts would like to see
fly (like the Decaffeinator).
It was a bit
breezy, under cloudy skies. But the rain held off, and
that was the biggest concern for the day. Dozes of kids,
parents, leaders and volunteers. They had a nice set up
with 4 port-a-pads with controllers. The kids came out
with their Rhino's, Long OverDues, Flea's and Over
Drive's. Several even brought other rockets they had
vrom previous years. Both to fly and to show me what I
had missed in years past.
wonderful! If you see your child, or their rocket in any
of the pictures in this album, just drop me an email and I
will gladly send you the full size image. Be sure to
tell me the actual file name of the picture(s) you want.
