CMASS July launch in Acton
We had a nice,
comfortable and well attended launch in Acton this past July
weekend. I usually show up early, so as to get my booth
all set up before everyone arrives, but this day saw
incredible traffic along interstate 495 causing me to be about
45 min later than normal.
By this time, I
expected have the folks to be there, but all I saw was Bill in
his truck with the clubs equipment... My first thought
was that I came to the wrong field (I've done that...) but I
had never seen Bill do that, so...
495... It was delaying most everybody!
As we started to
set up (Bill the launch equipment and me the booth), people
started to trickle in and by late morning we had about 60 or
so people there. I don't know how many flights we had,
but they were all great. It was a light day of flying,
with no lines and things moving quickly. We did see 4
cato's (one I caught on film).
It was just a
nice, relaxing day with friends. You really should see
if you can make it out to one of our launches. It's good
