August 24th - Acton, MA
It is rare that
you find a picture perfect day to fly rockets. Even more
so in New England. Well folks, we done found us
one! Clear blue skies, moderate temps, moderate wind, a
hundred rocketeers and hundredS of flights!
Add hot dogs to
the mix and it simply doesn't get much better than this!
We had young (5?) and old (65?) and everything in
between. It was simply wonderful!
I was there with
my booth and with two new proto types (see the photo album for
more details). We have the potential for two new (and
really nice) kits there, so keep watch as we flesh out the
designs over the fall and winter months. One of the
perks of being a CMASS member... ...you get to see
what's cookin. at FlisKits!
Help me out with
any rockets whose names I didn't get and if you want copies of
any of these just send me an email.
Oh, and I take
great pride in selecting nice, topical images to use as
headers on these photo albums, but for this launch, I had
THREE that I liked. The one above shows Tony loading his
Shrox model on the pad. Two other contenders are shown
below. The first shows Steve and his friend preping
rockets while one smart rocketeer shades himself under the
table since they didn't have a tent! The bottom one
shows the CMASS flight line with nearly everyone looking up at
a recent launch. Good stuff! Which one do YOU
think is best??
Enjoy the photo
album and be sure to come out to the next launch!
