Spring session, Academy for Science and Design 2013

Our Spring session is proving to be a big success!  13 signed up for beginner and 11 for advanced!  For the beginners we are testing new ground with a kit, that I designed just for this class, called (tentatively) the "Down the Tubes"!  This is a tube finned rocket (augmented with small rectangular balsa fins) that should be an easy, though stimulating build.

The advanced class will be stretching their skill and patience with the construction of the A.C.M.E. Spitfire kit.  A very strange looking, crooked rocket that performs surprisingly well, despite its odd appearance.

I will do my best to keep this album updated each week, with new updates on our progress, so check back often.  If you see a photo of your child, or their rocket, and wish to have a full size (high resolution) version of the picture, just send me an email and I will get it right out to you!

We have had our beginner launch!
The advanced class launch is now done too!

I would like to take a moment to thank Lisa Moser, the administration at the Academy for Science and Design, as well as the parents of these wonderful kids.  Your continued striving for excellence for and from your kids is an inspiring thing to be a part of.

Special thanks goes out to all of these kids.  They did an incredible job and these photo albums, especially the launch pictures, is a testament to just how well they actually did!  GREAT JOB!

Enjoy these photo albums!
