One of my kids
from my Boys & Girls Clubs classes, from years back,
invited me to bring rocketry to his Boy Scout troop here in
Merrimack. We spent a few weeks getting things set up
and we were ready to go!
We spent 3 weeks
(sessions) building the Rhino kit. Originally we were
scheduled for 2 sessions, but I blew it on the 2nd week by
showing up an hour late (first time EVER!), so we continued on
to the next week.
The result of that
was that we finished the rockets on what was supposed to be
our launch day so we wound up pushing the launch date out
about 4 weeks. We just finished that last week. We
had a very small field to fly in but were fortunate in that we
only lost ONE rocket to the trees. Simply amazing!
Everyone seemed to
have a great time and I know that I did! I look forward
to working with Troop 401 again in the future and wish them
all the best! Thank you, Cam, for helping your troop put
together a great rocketry program!
