Ray's HPR Celtic Thunder turns in a crowd pleasing flight!
dsc05668.jpg (38126 bytes)
Looks good coming back too!
dsc05669.jpg (44469 bytes)
Bob's Midnight Express (free download rocket) in Tour de' Deuce colors!
dsc05670.jpg (40473 bytes)
Here's a nice shot of my new A.C.M.E. Spitfire in the air.  Actually, this isn't an "ACME", rather it is a "MACME".... A Micro-ACME!  That model only stands about 3" tall! LOL  Micro powered, she flew like a champ and I hope to have her out in kit form this winter, so stay tuned!
dsc05671.jpg (30561 bytes)
Very cool!
dsc05673.jpg (39323 bytes)
A Flea shows her colors too!
dsc05674.jpg (38699 bytes)
Modified Decaffeinator with fin pods.  Looks VERY cool going up...
dsc05675.jpg (25030 bytes)
But, she was woefully underpowered on a C11 motor, as she gently floats towards me waiting for the ejection charge...
dsc05676.jpg (83159 bytes)
Landing gently right near our booth, I recommended a D12 for the next flight.  She flew again for a perfect flight (though I missed getting a picture)
dsc05677.jpg (42754 bytes)
Here we have the Lil' Guy giving us a great flight!
dsc05678.jpg (50536 bytes)
One of several Tres to put in a show.
dsc05679.jpg (31917 bytes)
And we also see the Goddard L-13 (this one flew a few times)
dsc05682.jpg (60684 bytes)
My current proto of the Tesla ram-jet rocket, hopefully coming this winter!
dsc05683.jpg (38101 bytes)
I had a lot of good luck capturing micro launches!  Here the doo-Hickey zipping off the pad!
dsc05684.jpg (60482 bytes)
Here goes the Tesla on a picture perfect flights.
dsc05685.jpg (38947 bytes)
Along with a picture perfect return!
dsc05686.jpg (56301 bytes)
One of several doo-Dad's to give us a show!
dsc05687.jpg (89671 bytes)
My traditional snap-shot of Tony's spread of rockets.  Very heavy on the FlisKits today!  We see a Nomad, Tres, US TOG, Borealis, MAKO, A.C.M.E. Spitfire, Deuce's Wild, Frick-n-Frack and Trifecta!  Whata fleet!
dsc05688.jpg (82019 bytes)
John with his various scaled up versions of the Mud Wasp
dsc05689.jpg (80747 bytes)
Our last cake of the year and one of the most spectacular!  I didn't know about the side details until we cut the box away.
dsc05690.jpg (30103 bytes)
Tony's A.C.M.E. Spitfire puts on a show.
dsc05693.jpg (67379 bytes)
Getting the Goddard L-13 ready to fly again.
dsc05694.jpg (48430 bytes)
The Praetor puts in a great flight.
dsc05695.jpg (97367 bytes)
A modification to the Celtic Thunder that was suggested to me by Mike Orpi.  It is a fantastic modification, with the swept back tube fins (interlocked in the same Celtic knot as the Celtic Thunder).  I am contemplating a new kit, most likely in the micro format, for this modification.  Very cool!
dsc05697.jpg (70498 bytes)
And it flies as good as it looks, too!
dsc05698.jpg (40829 bytes)
Simply beautiful!
dsc05699.jpg (73841 bytes)
We had a modest crowd out, for a CMASS launch.  I think the constant re-scheduling of this anniversary launch, coupled with the iffy weather, contributed to that.
dsc05700.jpg (76770 bytes)
Still though, it was a FUN crowd and we got in lots of great flights!
dsc05701.jpg (86967 bytes)
Heading to the pad with the Nantucket Sound!
dsc05702.jpg (75389 bytes)
Preping one of, I believe, eight Frick-n-Frack models, for the upcoming drag race!
dsc05703.jpg (94062 bytes)
Here are two more
dsc05704.jpg (85519 bytes)
Bill getting into the action
dsc05705.jpg (62246 bytes)
One more!
I took a video of the flight and hope to have it posted shortly.
dsc05707.jpg (72317 bytes)
Ok, now for the ULTIMATE in COOL!  This young man (I can not for the LIFE of me remember his name and I feel terrible!  HELP!) presented me with this custom design FLIS rocket!  Look closely.  The fins are in the shape of the letters F, L, I, & S with the inscription "10 years".  I can't express how much this little rocket means to me.  I simply LOVE it!  I flew it once (see below) and it will now sit, under glass, in my office as a reminder of how wonderful our customers really are!
dsc05708.jpg (78334 bytes)
After the Frick-n-Frack drag race, we proceeded to do a Deuce's Wild! drag race!
dsc05709.jpg (77895 bytes)
Here's my 13mm "Deuce of Hazzard" sitting on the pad
dsc05710.jpg (81207 bytes)
Even Bob gets into the action!
dsc05712.jpg (62235 bytes)
Here's 3 of the 5 that went up.  Great drag race!
dsc05713.jpg (56702 bytes)
Beautiful shot of a US TOG putting on a show!
dsc05714.jpg (34492 bytes)
Ray launched his unpainted Tri-Glide at least 3 times!  He started (here) with a C motor and realized his mistake when he had to hike the full field to recover those gliders!
dsc05715.jpg (94160 bytes)
A Praetor-II on its way to the pad!
dsc05716.jpg (58518 bytes)
A UFFO always pleases the crowd!
dsc05717.jpg (48794 bytes)
Here goes the Praetor-II.  Two problems though... A set of mis-aligned launch lugs (pinched the rod) and a loose launch rod caused the rocket to carry the rod up with it.  It didn't get far and broke 2 fins, but should be easily repaired and ready to fly again!
dsc05718.jpg (83548 bytes)
The ultimate use of a UFFO...  I've done this several times over the years, and it is always a crowd pleaser!
dsc05720.jpg (59538 bytes)
Even in a breeze, she puts on a wonderful show much to the delight of everyone!
dsc05723.jpg (35283 bytes)
I hope to have plans for the modification (upgraded to 24mm) and the launch platform posted on our site so keep watch
dsc05727.jpg (38065 bytes)
Nice close up as she reaches apogee.
dsc05728.jpg (26620 bytes)

dsc05740.jpg (42775 bytes)
Can't believe that I caught her on the return trip!
dsc05741.jpg (94102 bytes)
Here's the FLIS rocket, ready for her one and only flight on an A8-3
dsc05742.jpg (64251 bytes)
But first, a wonderful Triskelion!
dsc05743.jpg (39263 bytes)
Perfect up AND down!
dsc05744.jpg (60745 bytes)
Ray's Tri-Glide with a smaller motor (A or B).  This flight had all the gliders landing real close to the launch area and he actually LOST one! LOL It was later found and returned to my booth.  Good stuff!
dsc05746.jpg (77226 bytes)
FLIS away!  Perfect flight, arrow straight!
dsc05747.jpg (100312 bytes)
The Mighty Saturn V on the pad ready for launch!  Check out that gigantic clothes pin right below it!
dsc05749.jpg (76788 bytes)
Getting more rockets ready to fly!
dsc05750.jpg (34541 bytes)
The Mighty Saturn V puts in a fantastic flight!  At approx 1/1100 scale (0.00094 of the original...) she will make a wonderful addition to our Micro to the MAXX offering this winter!  Keep watch!
dsc05751.jpg (67461 bytes)
Tony's Tres waiting for the countdown!
dsc05752.jpg (80331 bytes)

Beautiful burn and a great flight!
dsc05764.jpg (36556 bytes)
Great recovery too!
Hope you enjoyed the photo album!  I enjoyed the launch and am looking forward to our 11th anniversary launch in 2013!
