Pollard Elementary School,
Plaistow, NH 2010
School was the first educational contact that I made after
founding FlisKits. They have been a regular part of our
spring time rocketry ever since! Originally, I would
visit the school and teach rocketry to 100 students over the
course of a day. Early on, we decided it made more sense
to teach the teachers how to deliver the class and I would
present a discussion on rocketry and then return to fly them
after they had them built. This has worked out great for
many years now.
What's really hard
to believe is that after this summer, my first group of kids
will be seniors in high school... Man.
During this day,
we launched over 90 rockets in 4 classes. In the
afternoon I was joined by Craig Whittaker and his son Bryce to
help out with getting models prepped and on the pad.
This was a great help and was much appreciated :)
The photo album
here has photo's of every rocketeer and their rocket. I
got most of the launch shots and many recovery shots
too. This is broken up by the class and you can go
direct to the particular class by clicking the teachers name
above each photo album. If you see a photo of your child and would like a
high resolution version, please send me an email with the file
name of the photo in question and I will get that right out to
I was unable to
get all of the photo's captioned. I figured it was more
important to get this album published before the end of the
school year so that the kids and families could be told about
