Advanced rocketry
Beginning Rocketry (Merrimack)

In this session's Beginning Rocketry class we decided to change things up a bit with the construction of the Espresso foam cup rocket followed by the Thing-a-ma-jig kit.  It sounded like a great idea at the time but the two 90 min sessions allowed for construction were barely enough for the kids to get the rockets constructed and I had to loan out several hot glue guns so that the kids could finish them at home.  I would save the foam cup rockets for either advance classes in the future, or sessions that would allow us 3 weeks to complete, just to be safe.

In the end, however, we got them all built and flown!   They were a lot of fun but there were some frustrations as well.  The Thing-a-ma-Jig build went much better with outstanding results and the kids loved it.

On the left is a photo album of the many pictures from this session.

If you see a photo of your child or their rocket that you would like, send me an email with the filename of the photo and I can send you a high resolution version of the picture, suitable for framing.

Enjoy this photo album!  Click on a thumbnail on the left to get a full size image in this panel.

Enjoy!
