I was invited to
visit the Sharon, MA public library to present a rocket
building class with the Whatchamacallit kit. We had
about 15 young rocket scientists on hand and we spent part of
the afternoon building our rockets. The second half of
the afternoon was spent in the sun out on a field where I put
on a fun demonstration of various model rocket flights.
It was great fun
and we all had a wonderful time! While we were not able
to launch the Whatchamacallit kits that the kids built, I
offered them a pass to attend our club launch with CMASS.
It is my hope that they all are able to come out and get their
rockets in the air! Many thanks to Debbie Binner for
bringing this program together.
On the left is a
photo album of the fun we shared this day. I look
forward to returning next year for an even bigger and better
event!
If you see a photo
of your child or their rocket that you would like, send me an
email with the filename of the photo and I can send you a high
resolution version of the picture, suitable for
framing.
I look forward to
visiting next years class of future rocketeers and I hope
everyone had nearly as much fun as I did! You all
did a wonderful job! I hope to see you at our launches.
