Drake under D power turns in a beautiful flight
DSC00535.JPG (18722 bytes)
And a picture perfect return too!
DSC00537.JPG (63083 bytes)
A most beautiful ACME Spitfire decorated in DPW drums as well as radioactive toxic waste drums.  Too kewl!
DSC00538.JPG (36763 bytes)
And, as expected, she flies as pretty as she looks!
DSC00539.JPG (23656 bytes)
However, parachute detachment can be cause for concern.  She lawn plows (ACME Spitfire's don't "dart") hard but there is NO damage worth mentioning.  Truly a rugged rocket!

A Tres turns in a nice flight with only 2 of her 3 B6-4 motors burning
DSC00541.JPG (67679 bytes)
A beautiful example of a Little Joe II made entirely of card stock.  This thing is incredible!
DSC00544.JPG (17057 bytes)
And so light she turns in a fantastic flight on a single C6-5 motor!
DSC00545.JPG (77786 bytes)
Our booth during the launch.  I had to keep rearranging the inside of the booth to keep me and our product out of the sun.

Doug with his Flea containing the D21 motor...  This is just so that I have photo-proof of the warranty violation... LOL
DSC00547.JPG (71421 bytes)
First proto type launch of the day, this is the 18mm Morning Star on the pad for her first flight.  Coming in September!
DSC00548.JPG (42546 bytes)
Picture perfect flight on a B6-4.  Arrow straight and good air.  Everyone was very impressed with the flight.
DSC00549.JPG (24166 bytes)
As bad as this looks, she was no where near the power lines.  A hard landing on the pavement but no damage.
DSC00552.JPG (59475 bytes)
The 24mm version of the Morning Star sits on the pad.  We had a vote on the field for which of these two would be the size we kit.  This 24mm version won with 20 votes (vrs 8 votes for the 18mm version).
DSC00553.JPG (70442 bytes)
Perfect flight on a C11-5 motors.  Again, everyone was impressed with how straight she flew and how nice she looks in the air.

Jim with both versions of the Morning Star to get an idea of the size of these models.

The well known Corona gets ready to show her stuff!
DSC00555.JPG (94247 bytes)
A beautiful Nomad just before her fatal 2-stage flight (the lower booster was removed due to the small size of this field).  The parachute never ejected and she lawn darted in the middle of the pumpkin patch...
DSC00556.JPG (81186 bytes)
3 Frick-n-Frack kits on the pad ready for a drag race!  Two are mine and one is Tony Vincent's
DSC00557.JPG (50375 bytes)
Tony's Frick-n-Frack deserves a good close up pic to show of the beautiful and very unique painting pattern.
DSC00558.JPG (60703 bytes)
And we have LIFTOFF!  3 rocket, 6 motors, low flight, rocket parts EVERYWHERE! It was a perfect drag race and a joy for all to watch!
DSC00559.JPG (57903 bytes)
Big Honkin' Rocket on the big honkin' launch pad ready for her maiden flight.  No attempt at a launch photo and she promptly vanished from the pad at T-0.  A few hours later she was found and returned.  Amazing!
DSC00561.JPG (49648 bytes)
Not a great photo, but Tony's HERC-5 takes to the air.  This model was damaged a few launches ago with a large gash in the nose cone.  Tony repaired the damage so well you would be hard put to find the repair area...
DSC00562.JPG (77571 bytes)
The shock cord broke and the body gently glided back to land on the grass and the nose cone (under chute) landed about 40 feet into the corn.  I could not BELIEVE how tall this corn was!

Our trusty CMASS launch crew

A beautiful micro rocket glider
DSC00567.JPG (61079 bytes)
And I caught the launch!  I love it!  It had an interesting boost and a perfect glide.  Very cool rocket.
DSC00569.JPG (75761 bytes)
This is why you need sun screen at a rocket launch.  You spend half your time looking down as you prep and the other half looking up at your handiwork.
DSC00570.JPG (85902 bytes)
Rocketry is a family affair and this is never so evident as it is at a CMASS launch!
DSC00571.JPG (58187 bytes)
Not a clue who's rocket this is or what rocket this is, but this was just too cool!
DSC00573.JPG (96937 bytes)
Perfect rocketeer 2-point stance while hooking up the leads...
DSC00574.JPG (30176 bytes)
Well, it certainly works!  Perfect flight!
DSC00576.JPG (95833 bytes)
My original Adfecta proto flies again.  This model had suffered a massive cato last year and was repaired and flies often now.
DSC00578.JPG (90701 bytes)
C11-5 is a perfect small field motor for this beautiful model.
DSC00577.JPG (56301 bytes)
A boat load of saucers of all sizes scream into the air!
DSC00582.JPG (69597 bytes)
Preping and spectating.  Our launches are some of the most relaxing, enjoyable outings you can experience.
DSC00583.JPG (76172 bytes)
I love seeing the younger rocketeers exploring the sport!
DSC00585.JPG (79262 bytes)
The Goony Mars Lander screams on a C motor!
DSC00586.JPG (66875 bytes)
Not sure who or what, but this was just a very nice photo!
DSC00589.JPG (83372 bytes)
A more common stance for hooking up the leads.
DSC00591.JPG (79236 bytes)
Everyone gets involved and enjoys the day.  Young & old, guys & gals, moms & dads, brothers & sisters.  Very cool
DSC00592.JPG (92558 bytes)
Ok, this next series of pictures is very cool.  This is Tony's Frick-n-Frack on her second flight on a pair of C6-0 motors.  Camera in burst mode I caught virtually the whole flight!  Here is the liftoff!
DSC00593.JPG (56416 bytes)
Screaming into the air perfectly straight!
DSC00594.JPG (27153 bytes)
Still going, straight as an arrow!  The inset shows details of the rocket.
DSC00595.JPG (31013 bytes)
Houston, we have staging event!
DSC00596.JPG (28409 bytes)
With the booster (Frick) dropping away, the sustainer (Frack) keeps on truckin'
DSC00597.JPG (33265 bytes)
Here we see Frack still under power as Frick has flipped over and begins her decent, spinning softly.
DSC00598.JPG (24460 bytes)
Burnout of Frack, you can barely see it in the dense smoke (see inset)
DSC00599.JPG (25596 bytes)
Flipping over for recovery mode, Frack gently spins for a near field landing.  I love it!
