The moment of ignition is always the most exciting!
Each year the Plaistow and Danville elementary schools invite
me to come out to provide a short lecture about rocketry and the space program to their
4th grade class. This is followed, over the next couple of weeks, with the kids
building a skill level 1 FlisKits model rocket kit. This year, the Danville school
selected the Thing-a-ma-Jig. While I did not participate in the build, I am invited
back to participate in the launch. This photo album is provided as a warm thank you
to the teachers, administration and, most importantly, the children of Danville Elementary
School for inviting me to be involved in their rocketry fun!
Parents and the school can get high resolution versions of
any of these images by sending me an email
request.
On the left you will find thumbnail images of our adventures
in rocketry. Click on a thumbnail to bring up a full size image here.
Enjoy!

The rest of the flight is just frosting on the cake!
