CMASS June 2006 launch!

As if New Hamshire hasn't suffered enough of the rain, our
Saturday launch was rained out. Our rain-date of Sunday was nearly rained out as
well, but the die-hard amoung us showed up and had fun flying even though it was cold and
wet!
We even had to relocate our flying field when it was
discovered that there was an error in schedulding on the part of the Town of Tewksbury as
the Lacross teams began showing up to play...
There wasn't a *lot* of flying (at least not by CMASS
standards) with only about 120 models going up. With the exception of the Pheord
X150 and the Alien8, I only flew Micromaxx hoping to get some test flights on some new
models. As a result, we have some fun and exciting models coming out this summer, so
keep watch! You can find some details in the photo album on the left. Just
click on a thumb-nail image to have the full size image appear here.
Additionally, we have begun to receive some of our "show
kits". Several weeks ago FlisKits put the word out that we wanted to have some
high quality builds of many of our kits to act as show models for the many shows that we
attend throughout the year. Not having the time to do the level of work we would
like to see, we decided to contract the work out to our loyal customers. To date we
have received back the Flea and the Nomad with the
additional loan of the OverDrive and the Long OverDue.
These models are BEAUTIFUL, as you will see also in this
photo album.
Much thanks goes out to Pat Butler and Tony
Vincent (CMASS) for their hard work and outstanding ability in the construction
and finishing of these fine models. When we have all of them available we will
dedicate a photo album to these models, but I just couldn't wait to get some of these up
and displayed!
Enjoy!
